Mayor Taylor was elected to the City Council in 2009 and as Mayor in 2013.  He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Military Science, and in 2012 from the University of Utah with a Master of Public Administration.  He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Utah in International Relations.  He has worked in both the public and private sectors.  He has served for 12 years as an officer in the United States Army National Guard, including seven years on Active Duty.  He served two tours of duty in the Iraq War and one in Afghanistan, serving in Iraq as a convoy security commander and then as an advisor to an Iraqi national intelligence agency.  In Afghanistan he was a combat advisor to the Afghan Border Police.  He has worked previously for the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Ground Intelligence Center, and the Department of Homeland Security.  He and his wife Jennie Ashworth Taylor have five children and love living in North Ogden.  Mayor Taylor serves full-time as North Ogden Mayor and is always available to discuss issues and concerns.
