History

Bella Me Boutique opened February 2011 and is owned by Marietta Priest.  Marietta moved to Pleasant View 11 years ago.  Prior to opening her own retail store, Marietta started in the fashion industry with jean home parties and worked in retail at Gymboree and Buckle.  After many years working in retail, her love for retail, customer engagement, clothing fashion and trends, her passion grew to open her very own retail store.  At the time there were no other small businesses in the area for apparel shopping.  Marietta was drawn to the North Ogden area, it was close to her home, and a storefront off the main road on Washington Boulevard in North Ogden was the perfect location.  Marietta prefers the shop ambiance over home parties.

Marietta was inspired to name her store Bella Me Boutique.  Bella Me means “Beautiful Me.”  She wants everyone, especially her customers to feel beautiful inside and out.  It is her desire to help people feel beautiful and she hopes her boutique will help her customers feel their internal and external beauty.

Services

Bella Me Boutique’s retail items include clothing, jewelry, purses, shoe room, home and gift section, and gift certificates.  Bella Me Boutique carries popular brands customer’s love.  The boutique has eye catching displays, antique furniture, elegant wallpaper, a shiplap wall, adoring chandeliers, and five dressing rooms available for customers to try on apparel.  Bella Me Boutique offers sales every week on different items, like their back to school sale.  Marietta strives to keep their prices low.  Visit their online store at www.shopbellame2.com.

Community Involvement

Bella Me Boutique has participated in Chalk It Up North and North Ogden Cherry Days.  Marietta was also one of the three boutiques who were asked to cloth the Miss Rodeo Utah Pageant 2018 (Miss Rodeo Utah is an affiliate of Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation).  They have also made donation to the raffle for the Festival of Trees in Sandy.

Marietta believes in giving back to the community and she does as much as she can as a small business.  She donates gift baskets for school fundraisers at Weber High School and Fremont High School.  She also donates apparel to clothing exchange locations, Christmas Box House of Ogden (helps children and teens who were victims of abuse, neglect and homelessness), and the YCC (Your Community Connection) Family Crisis Center of Ogden (domestic violence shelter and rape crisis center).

Additional Information

Bella Me Boutique currently has five part-time employees.  Marietta also likes to stay on top current fashion and trends by attending Market two to three times per year.  At Market vendors refer to Utah and Arizona as the “battle of the boutiques.”
