Major Project: North Ogden South Commercial Area Plan (also known as King’s Plaza)

The North Ogden South Commercial Area Plan (also known as King’s Plaza) is a planning effort in collaboration with North Ogden City, Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC), and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) to create a vision for the redevelopment of the area into a vibrant commercial area that improves bike, pedestrian, and bus access and green space.  

The site has drawn in residents and visitors with long-time businesses like Kurt’s Drive-In, The Cannery, and other local shops and services. Key features of the site include Washington Boulevard, a major thoroughfare, Coldwater Creek emerging near the project area, majestic mountain views, and iconic North Ogden businesses.  

The North Ogden South Commercial Area has the potential to become a gateway to North Ogden with bustling activity, family-oriented gathering spaces, and attractions. A vibrant commercial area will attract residents, visitors, and tourists to shop, dine, and play in North Ogden.
