STRAY CATS

Stray Cat is defined as a cat who has been socialized to people at some point in their life, but has left or lost their domestic home, as well as most human contact and dependence.

Notice:

Stray cats will be placed on a hold. If the cat is not claimed by their owner, they will be placed for adoption/rescue.

FERAL CATS

A feral cat is a cat who has either never had any contact with humans or their contact with humans has diminished over time. They are fearful of people and survives on their own outdoors. A feral cat is not likely to ever become a lap cat or enjoy living indoors.

Notice:

Feral cats will participate in the community cat act per Utah code 11-46-301. The community cat act is a program pursuant to which feral cats are sterilized, vaccinated against rabies, ear-tipped, and returned to the location where they congregate.  

Feral cats must be in a trap.

Previously ear tipped cats will not be accepted.
