Permits
When is a permit required?
Permits are required whenever any excavation, paving or other improvements are being performed in the City Right-of-Way.
When is a permit NOT required?
Hand-dug sprinkler and landscape repairs in non-paved areas of the Right-of-Way do not require a permit.

Inspections
All work within the City Right-of-Way requires inspections throughout the process of the job. For this reason, it is crucial that the contractor maintain good communication with the inspector from the time the permit is issued until the final inspection has been passed.
Inspectors evaluate work based on the North Ogden City Standards and Technical Specifications, along with the North Ogden Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. When needed, the North Ogden City Enforcement Response Plan will be used to ensure city code and ordinances are being followed.
